Objectives of the Scheme
The state has entered into a new round of aggregation in which aggregators are challenged to provide good quality agriculture and on the other hand need to expand custom hiring facilities for weaker class farmers. The use of special agricultural instruments and techniques is required to be enhanced in areas of the state where special problems are present or promote any particular crop or process. The scheme is being operated for fulfillment of all the objectives.
Component & Grant Pattern
There are two plans under the scheme –
Substitute – 1. Special grant on purchase of identified power on agricultural instruments to the farmers – for special farm activities by governance or for dismantlement of special problems of the farmers. Special grants will be payable in addition to grants available in other schemes on identified powers. Presently selected power-driven agricultural machinery and grants are as follows:

Project 2. – Assistance for setting up custom hiring centers
Private Interest/Primary Agricultural Cooperative Institutions who want to set up custom hiring centres to serve farmers by providing rental machines and equipment for agricultural work will be given a maximum amount of 40% of cost of machines and advanced technology instruments up to Rs.10 lakh.
(a) Assistance for setting up custom hiring centres in private sector – Under this scheme, persons up to 40 years of age can set up custom hiring centres under this scheme. The grant amount will also be paid through the Bank by making the case for establishment of the Centre.
(b) Assistance to establish Custom Hiring Centres to Primary Agricultural Cooperatives – Under this, the Primary Agricultural Cooperatives will enable the District Cooperative Central Bank to set up a custom hiring centre.

Interest & Eligibility
Undertaking – 1. Special grants on purchase of identified power on agricultural instruments to farmers –
1. All categories of farmers will be eligible to have a tractor from the east.
2. For the ridge-fore attachment, they will be eligible to have a farmer who already has a seed drill/seed low fertilizer drill.
Project 2. – Assistance for setting up custom hiring centers
1 Under the establishment of custom hiring centres in private sector, a graduate of up to 40 years of age can set up custom hiring centres under this scheme. Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering graduates will be preferred.
2. Primary Agricultural Cooperatives Committees will set up custom hiring centres by availing loans from District Cooperative Central Bank.
How to Apply
The application for the Deputy Director, Kisan Kalyan and Agriculture Development Office of its district.
The beneficiary of the private sector for subplan-2 will have to be submitted the application to the divisional agricultural machinery related to their district. Applications are received by the Directorate of Operations in the newspapers once a year. Proceedings are carried out in accordance with the targets available in the year on the applications received.
