1 Scheme Objectives & Goals

The proposed plan has the following objectives:

  • The skill promotion training programme being conducted by various departments has to enhance quality and employment opportunities in training, bringing certification, uniformity in accordance with national standards.

  • To conduct training programmes in demand that it is not possible to meet traditional ITI courses.

2 Target Group:

  • Youth left formal education system

  • Individuals who want employment/self employment by developing their skills.

  • Workers who want to authenticate their informal skills.

  • Women and other deprived groups.

  • Residential training to youth of the Naxalism affected areas

  • Young of free, stroller and semi-stroller class.

3 Sectors for Training-

  • Apparel & Home Decor, Agriculture, Green Jobs, Plumbers, Automobiles, Woodwork, Technicians, Keptal Goods, Construction Works, Home Works, Electronics & Hardware, Food Processing, Retail, IT, Security, Telecom, Tourism & Hospitality & Finance.

Training institutions/courses/Determination of goals

Skill efficiency levels are set under the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF). These courses are proposed to be operated under this scheme. Skill training programs will also be conducted for which the employment will contract to ensure the quality of employment. The selection and target assessment of private sector trainings will be carried out by the Sovereign Committee issued by RFP.
