Objective- To promote cleanliness and health education in the rural public through information education and dissemination, create awareness and create hygiene conditions and reduce polluted water and voluntarily diseases.
Scheme Form and Workbench
1. Free the families of the entire rural areas of the state from open defecation and build clean toilets by each family.
2. Construction of sanitation complex in Houses with Government Building and Anganwadis.
3. To build a ‘Communal Sanitation Complex’ to provide facilities like laundry and toilet, for the bath of the consumer.
4. Materials used in personal toilet construction mainly for toilet pan and other related material arrangement such as production or establishment of rural hygiene court.
The details of the proposed functions under the scheme are as follows:
(1) Individual family clean toilet- Financial assistance is provided up to 80 per cent to families living under poverty line.
Only technical guidance is provided to the borrowers above the poverty line. Loan facility can be provided for toilet construction to the beneficiaries who have a living above poverty line.
(2) For disposal and management of Community Sanitation Complex, Toilet Construction in Schools and Solid & Liquid Couda Curat Construction works can be done.
Eligible interest- Any rural can get technical guidance for individual toilets under this scheme. But the list in Gram Panchayat is the provision of grants to families living under the poor line.
