34th meeting of Road Development Corporation Division concluded
The 34th meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan concluded in the Ministry today. Shri Rampal Singh was also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan reviewed the works done by the Corporation. He instructed to make the planning of the maintenance of the streets, saying that all roads should be inspected before the rainy season. Repair work should be completed while the roads that are prone to deterioration in the rainy season.
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan received information regarding maintenance of the first road Indore-Wishpur built under BOT in the state. He was told that the road asphaltization of 201 kilometre length will be carried out. The department has reassured the Chief Minister to continue the roads. The task of screw repair will continue constant. The Sagar-Jbalpur route is completed. The Sea has traveled only 2 hours from Jabalpur.
The meeting pointed out that the construction work of 257 km long state highways has been completed during the year 2016-17. Similarly, Rs. 983 crore expenditure tax 460 km long construction of the main district routes has been completed. Construction of 1613 km long roads will be completed during 2017-18. These functions will cost Rs. 3,757 crore. The roads of a total of 1456 km length are under construction under ADB Project-5. Rs. 2,328 crore will be spent on construction. 1640 km long roads are under construction under NDB projects which will have a total of Rs. 3,093 crore expenditure. Construction of 2200 km long roads under ADB VI project The seventh project plans to build 800 km long roads worth Rs. 1663 crore.
In the meeting Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri A.P. Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Shri Deepak Khandekar, Principal Secretary Public Work Department Shri Pramod Agarwal, Managing Director Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation Shri Manish Rastogi, Secretary Mineral Department Shri Manohar Dube was also present.
