Bengaluru. The Government of Karnataka has alleged farmers’ debts on Wednesday. Under this, loans upto Rs 50 thousand will be waived. The decision of the Siddarmaya government will lead to a burden of 8165 crore on the state budget. Earlier, the UP, Maharashtra and the Punjab government have been speaking of farmers’ debts.
According to the news agency, Karnataka government’s decision will impact 22 lakh 27 thousand 506 farmers in the state. All of these had taken loans from cooperative banks.
