New Delhi: February 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to deliver full cooperation to the textile sector on Monday, and at the same time emphasized that the sector will play a significant role in making India a developed nation by 2047.

Modi addressed the attendees after inauguration ‘India Tex 2024’ that the government is working at a very comprehensive level to further enhance the contribution of the textile sector in the construction of developed India.
‘India Tex’ is one of the largest global textile programmes held in the country.

He said that India’s textile market was less than Rs. seven lakh crore in 2014 while now it has crossed Rs. 12 lakh crore.
The Prime Minister said that the production of the last 10 years of thread, clothes and garment has increased by 25 percent. The Government has a complete focus on quality control in the textile field.
"Our government is fully committed to co-operating you in all your efforts," Modi said. ""
In addition to textile students, weavers, craftsmen and textile workers in India Tex 2024’ policy maker and global CEO, more than 3,500 exhibitors, more than 3,000 buyers from over 100 countries and more than 40,000 business visitors are expected to participate.
