PM Narendra Modi is launching Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana from Ranchi in Jharkhand on 12th September 2019. After the age of 60 under this scheme, farmers will get Rs. 3 thousand monthly pension on minor tears. As per the Union Ministry of Agriculture, about 8.36 lakh farmers have registered. Under this, registration was started from 9th August. Earlier, the Modi government launched PM Kisan Yojana.
Who else can take advantage of the plan
In the Kisan Pension Scheme, any smallholder and marginal farmers aged from 18 to 40 years have a farming ground up to 2 hectares. They have to make monthly contributions from Rs 55 to Rs 200 for at least 20 years and maximum of 42 years under the scheme, depending on their age. After 60 years, he will get Rs 3000 monthly pension.
How to Register
To avail the Pension Scheme, the farmer has to submit his registration to the Common Service Centre (CSC). For registration, copy of Aadhaar Card and Khasra-Katuni will be taken. 2 photo and bank passbook will also be required for registration. For registration, the farmer will not pay any fee separately. The farmer’s farmer’s pension number and pension card will be created during registration.
Millions of farmers will benefit
The farmer’s pension plan can certainly be effective for farmers who are just and just farming-five. Especially to poor farmers who have no other means of livelihood. Earlier, the Modi government launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Respect Fund Scheme in the previous tenure. Under this scheme, every single farmer of the country is being given an economic help of Rs 6000 every year.

This Pension Fund is managing the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
These farmers will not get benefit
- Small and marginal farmers involved in the scope of any other social security scheme such as National Pension Scheme, Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Scheme, Employees Provident Fund Scheme (EPFO).
- Farmers who have opted for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mantri Dhan Yojana, Ministry of Labour and Employment.
- Farmers who have opted for the Pradhan Mantri Small Merchant Man-Dhan Yojana, the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
