Late night paper leak law was applied on Friday for strictly prevention of cases of leaking the question papers of competitive examinations. This law was passed in February this year. It has been named as ‘Public Exam Law 2024’ (Public Education Act 2024). The provision of three to five years of punishment on the use of inappropriate means in competitive examinations has been made. There is provision for generation of up to Rs 1 crore on systematically such crime.

Neat paper leaks and UGC-net exams have been controversy across the country. Meanwhile the government has implemented stringent law to prevent paper leaks while making a big decision. The Central Government has notified ‘Lok Exam Law 2024’. The motive of this law is to prevent paper leaks and imitations of competitive examinations. Under this, 15 activities have been marked, any of which can be found to be jailed or banned, or to be heavily punished.
In the scope of paper leak law, they are all the examinations that conduct public examination bodies or then conduct institutions that are accredited from the Central Government. There are a number of major examinations. The scope of law includes all computer based examinations conducted by UPSC, SSC, Railway’s Competitive Examination, Banking Recruitment Examination and National Testing Agency (NTA).
