The central government has approved the procurement of mangoes from Karnataka. This is under the Market Intervention Scheme for 2025-26. Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy requested this due to surplus production and falling prices. The procurement price is set at ₹1,616 per quintal. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan responded to Kumaraswamy’s concerns about low mango prices.
