Proceeding of Monsoon as well as the possibility of heavy rains throughout India

The weather department has released alerts for heavy rains in many areas of the country, considering the rising South-West Monsoon. Coastal Karnataka today has a risk of heavy rains, with the authorities urged residents to take necessary care. Konkan and Goa, South Internal Karnataka, Kerala and some parts of the month are also estimated to have heavy rains.

 

The weather department will have favorable conditions to proceed in parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and many North States in the next 3-4 days. The coming days are likely to have heavy rains in Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, State of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh with thunder and electricity.

 

During the next three to four days, the East and North Eastern regions of India are likely to be in West Bengal and Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. While in the north, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan and Eastern Uttar Pradesh are likely to have heavy rainfall.

 

In the coming days, Uttarakhand, parts of Uttar Pradesh and also heavy rains are estimated in Haryana. IMD has advised residents of affected areas to have information about local weather updates and take appropriate measures to ensure safety during heavy rainfall. Officers of sensitive areas for possible floods and landslide are on high alerts.
