Farmers will now hire new technology agricultural equipment at affordable rates from the market. The Government is establishing Custom Hiring Centres at the block level for this. The Government has made these decisions on the cost of equipment and having limited income of small and marginal farmers. This will allow farmers from villages to cultivate intuitively advanced farming with agriculture equipment. Around 70 custom centres will be set up across the state.
Farmers don’t have to wait
Large farmers have their own agricultural equipment. But small farmers don’t find other equipment purchases including tactors due to low ground. The rainy season gathers together. The sowing of small farmers’ farms occurs at the same stage. It has a special effect on crop production from time to time. Setting up of custom hiring centres will allow small farmers to be sown on time. Harvesting and cereals with sowing can also be easily removed from machinery.
Grant of Rs. 4 lakh
There is a separate scheme of Rs.10 lakh, 25, 40 and 60 lakh for setting up of Custom Hiring Centre. The farmer establishing a custom hiring centre of Rs.10 lakh will be given a grant of Rs.4 lakh on behalf of the government. 50% grant is payable for setting up custom hiring centers. The rate of agricultural equipment will decide a committee of five people.

Establishing custom hiring centres will benefit small and marginal farmers.
Mandatory instruments for the centre
Farmers are now interested in reducing advanced and precious instruments, benefiting from this scheme. At present, a tractor (from 35 bhp to 55 bhp) at each centre for agricultural work has been compulsory to purchase a Plu, a Rotavator, a Cultivator or disk hero, a seed low fertiliser drill, a tractor running thresher or a stra reper and a razed bed planter or ryes transplanter instrument.

This is the state plan that has been launched in 2012-13.
Objectives of the Scheme
The state has entered into a new round of agricultural mechanization in which farmers on one hand are challenged to provide good quality agriculture and on the other hand need to expand custom hiring facilities for vulnerable class farmers. The use of special agricultural instruments and techniques is required to be enhanced in areas of the state where special problems are present or promote any particular crop or process. The scheme is being operated for fulfillment of all the objectives.
Component & Grant Pattern
There are two plans under the scheme –
Project – 1. This particular grant will be given to the farmers on the purchase of the identified power driven agricultural instruments for special funding by the Government for special agricultural activities or for dismantlement of special problems of the farmers. Special grants will be payable in addition to grants available in other schemes on identified powers. Presently selected power-driven agricultural machinery and grants are as follows:
2. – Assistance for setting up custom hiring centers
Private Interest/Primary Agricultural Cooperative Institutions who want to set up custom hiring centres to serve farmers by providing rental machines and equipment for agricultural work will be given a maximum amount of 40% of cost of machines and advanced technology instruments up to Rs.10 lakh.
(a) Assistance for setting up custom hiring centres in private sector – Under this scheme, persons up to 40 years of age can set up custom hiring centres under this scheme. The grant amount will also be paid through the Bank by making the case for establishment of the Centre.
(b) Assistance to establish Custom Hiring Centres to Primary Agricultural Cooperatives – Under this, the Primary Agricultural Cooperatives will enable the District Cooperative Central Bank to set up a custom hiring centre.
Interest & Eligibility
Project – 1. Special grants on purchase of underlying agricultural instruments to the farmers –
1. All categories of farmers will be eligible to have a tractor from the east.
2. For the ridge-fore attachment, they will be eligible to have a farmer who already has a seed drill/seed low fertilizer drill.
Project 2. – Assistance for setting up custom hiring centers
1 Under the establishment of custom hiring centres in private sector, a graduate of up to 40 years of age can set up custom hiring centres under this scheme. Agriculture or Agriculture Engineering graduates will be preferred.
2. Primary Agricultural Cooperatives Committees will set up custom hiring centres by availing loans from District Cooperative Central Bank.
How to Apply
The application for the Deputy Director, Kisan Kalyan and Agriculture Development Office of its district.
The beneficiary of the private sector for subplan-2 will have to be submitted the application to the divisional agricultural machinery related to their district. Applications are received by the Directorate of Operations in the newspapers once a year. Proceedings are carried out in accordance with the targets available in the year on the applications received.
