To give the location specific ‘Mang based tele-agricultural advice’ to farmers, Digital India Corporation (DIC) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (DIC) of Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has signed an MOU. The signature was made on June 9, 2021 at the Agricultural Building of New Delhi.
The program was chaired by Dr. Trilochan Mahapatra, Secretary of DARE and Director General of ICAR, Additional Secretary of DARE and Secretary of ICAR, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh and Manager Director of DIC and CEO, Mr. Abhishek Singh.
On the occasion, the Deputy Director General of ICAR (Agricultural Expansion) Dr. A.K. Singh, Senior Director of DIC (Research) Dr. Vinay Thakur, Assistant Director General of ICAR (ICT) Dr. Anil Rai, Assistant Director General of ICAR (Agricultural Extension) was present in other dignitaries including Dr. Randhir Singh Poswal, PR Research Scientist of DIC Dr. T.S. Anurag and Mr. Partul Porwal of the PR Software Developer of DIC.
The MoU aims to integrate the existing Interactive Information Desertification System (IIDS) platform of DIC with the proposed Kisan Sarathi program of ICAR and implement it through the ICAR network to a large number of farmers across the country.
आईसीएआर और डीआईसी स्थानीय स्तर पर विभिन्न कृषि गतिविधियों को सहयोग देने के लिए एक मल्टी-मीडिया, मल्टी-वे एडवाइजरी और संचार प्रणाली की स्थापना और संचालन के लिए आईसीटी प्लेटफार्मों को विकसित और तैनात करने के लिए सहयोग करने पर सहमत हुए हैं। शुरूआत में आईसीएआर में इंटरएक्टिव इंफॉर्मेशन डिसेमिनेशन सिस्टम (आईआईडीएस) तैनात किया जाएगा जो एक पुश-एंड पुल-आधारित प्रणाली है, जिसमें मोबाइल फोन का उपयोग करके किसानों से कृषि संबंधी जानकारी प्राप्त की सकेगी। आईआईडीएस किसानों को केवल उन्हीं सेवाओं के लिए व्यक्तिगत आवश्यकता-आधारित जानकारी प्राप्त करने का विकल्प देता है, जिसके लिए उन्होंने सदस्यता ली है। बैकएंड विशेषज्ञों के पास उनके प्रश्नों का उत्तर देते समय किसानों के डेटाबेस तक पहुंच होगी। इस तरह, विशेषज्ञ किसानों द्वारा उठाई गई समस्याओं या क्षेत्र की समस्याओं को बेहतर तरीके से समझ सकेंगे (केवाईएफ – नो योर फॉर्मर) और व्यक्तिगत रूप से किसान को उचित और शीघ्र सहायता प्रदान कर सकेंगे। वर्तमान में आईआईडीएस प्लेटफॉर्म को पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों, आंध्र प्रदेश और तेलंगाना में तैनात किया गया है। जिसे आईसीएआर के साथ इस समझौता ज्ञापन के साथ पूरे देश में विस्तारित किया जाएगा।
The DIC will provide complete technical solutions along with collaboration for development, hosting and management of the expected ICT platform. ICAR will manage and monitor the entire operations in phased manner through its expansion service network as Agricultural Science Centres (KVK), various domain specific research institutes and network of agricultural universities etc.
