1000 trees will be planted in each urban body with treated water
Effective steps have been taken by the State Government for conservation of Narmada river. The sewerage project is proposed in 20 urban bodies. The work of 7 urban bodies of it is in progress. These urban bodies include Nemavar, Budhani, Shahganj, Mandeshwar, Amarkantak, Dindori and Jabalpur. Sewage in the project of these bodies is to be treated with SBR and BRR technology. After the treatment of sewage, the treated water will be used to plant trees.
The use of this treated water in STPs and other places will put 1000 trees in all 20 urban bodies. They will be handled by contractors till 12 years. Tenders are invited for the Sewage Project of Thirteen Urban Bodies, which is included in various schemes. Under the ADB Sahitya Madhya Pradesh Urban Services Impression Project, Drew, Sunavad, Anjd and Sankhra, KFW Sahitya Madhya Pradesh Urban Senitation and EngagementMaheshwar, Nasrullaganj, Walghat and Dharampuri Tathman under the Wiroment Project, Hoshangabad, Mandala, Narsinghpur and Barwani, World Bank co-operated Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Project
The work of STP, Estate Well and Sewerage Pipe Line, etc. are in progress in sewerage projects of seven municipal bodies. Further projects of the remaining urban bodies are proposed to be commenced shortly by tendering upto 7th May 2018.
