Subsidy of Rasanik Manure (Universal) will be credited directly to the farmer’s account. The interest of the farmers is safe.
In response to a question in the Lok Sabha during the monsoon session of New Delhi, 3 August – Parliament, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping, Chemicals & Fertilizers Mansukh Mandavia said that the farmers will be safe by submitting the subsidy of chemical food directly to the farmers’ accounts. He said that the portion of the farmers is not used in the Urea fertilizer industry so the subsidy of Neem coating and farmers is directly met to the farmers so the direct benefit transfer (DBT) method has been applied. The Union Minister Mansukh informed that the DBT scheme has been implemented as a pilot project in 19 districts, including the Narmada District of Gujarat. It will be implemented in other states after completion of the first phase of the pilot project. Fertilizer subsidy is deposited in company accounts in phase-1 and fertilizer subsidy will be deposited directly in the harvest of farmers in phase-2 and covers about 14 lakh farmers across the country. In addition, the purchase-sale of chemical fertilizer is easily being cashless for this 2 lakh POS machines are being made available. The Minister said, the government is taking the five-point program forward for double the income of farmers by 2022. Including DBT, Soil Health Card, Neemkotung Urea, Prime Minister Agriculture Irrigation Scheme, Prime Minister Agriculture Insurance Scheme. The programme will reduce the cost of cultivation of farmers and increase income and double the income of farmers by 2022.
