A report by the Government Xinhua stated that the CR450 prototype achieved testing speed of 450 kilometres per hour with operational speed, energy consumption, internal noise and braking distance. It is significantly faster than CR400 fuxing high-speed rail (HSR) currently running in service, which runs at a speed of 350 kilometres per hour.
