PM Surya Ghar Yojana – PM Surya Yojana is an ambitious scheme launched by the Government of India. Solar panels will be installed above one crore homes of India under this scheme. which will be sufficient to give up to 300 units in electricity free of the month. The scheme is declared by the Government in the budget of Rs 75000 crore
Benefits of PM Sun House Plan
– Under the PM Sunghar Yojana, the house where the solar panel will be applied will be given for free by the power government up to 300 units in the house.
– The power above 300 units will make you pay the bill much less due to your electricity bill.
Under this scheme, every home of India will be self-sufficient in terms of energy, and it will benefit India. The scheme will greatly help the Government of India to meet the target of the leader Zero Carbon Emission.
The scheme will also increase the employment opportunities in India. And it’s because of new jobs.
Under the PM Sun House Scheme, the house where solar panels will be installed will be 24 hours. There will be no cut of electricity in this house.
Under this scheme, Government of India has divided subsidy into three parts.
- Family who have solar panels from 1 to 2 kW per kilowatt ₹30000 subsidy will be given. i.e. about 60% of subsidy will be given by the Government to apply solar panels from 1 to 2 km. For 1kg VAT ₹30000 subsidy will be given, for 2 kg watt ₹60000 subsidy will be given.
- For 2 kilowatts of family who have two to three kilometres of solar panel ₹60000 subsidy will be given and for 3kw ₹78000 subsidy will be given.
- Up to 3 kg watts, 78000 subsidy will be given to the family solar panels.

The house where annual income is moderate or even lower is received for subsidy for PM Sun House Scheme. i. The solar panels of PM Sun Home Scheme will be installed in the same homes as the annual income of which is less than 8 lakh forms.
It is mandatory for the scheme to have a rooftop above the house of the application.
There should be enough space to apply solar panels above the applicant’s house.
No member of the family should be a government servant.
No member of the family should be taxpayer to apply solar panels under the Sun House Scheme.

Fill in your details: Fill all the information sought like name, mobile number, email id, state, district, power distribution company name and consumer number etc carefully.
Create a password: create a strong password and type it again.
Accept terms and conditions: tick them by reading the terms and conditions and click the "Register" button.
Your registration has been done: A registration on your mobile number will be sent a confirmation link on success message and email.
Once the registration is complete, you will be given a security code, keep the code you save. That code will come in handy for you.

How to Apply
The applicant can apply online by visiting the scheme website https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in/ to apply for the PM Sun Home Scheme.
Step 1 – After visiting the website, click on the top of the Register here option.
Step 2 – Enter your State and District
Step 3– Enter the name of your electricity distribution company.
Step 4– Proceed after filling the captcha.
Step 5: Login with your mobile number and email number.
Upload your base card and electricity bill to apply.
Step 6 – After that, select any solar panel vendor in your district.
Step 7– Give details of how much weight solar panel you have to apply.
Step 8- Click on the application after filling all the options given. Submit your application.
Tenure of the Scheme
The scheme will move from 2024 to 5 years i.e. 2029.
Under this scheme, the Government is aimed at planting 10 lakh solar panels in 2024-25. And from 2025 to 2029 the rest will be planted above 90 lakh solar panel houses.

Pm Solar Panel Scheme
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji announced it on January 22. The official portal was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 13th February 2024.
Under this scheme, beneficiary families are subsidy of 60% for one to two kilowatt solar panels. 40% subsidy is given for 3 kW. and subsidy of 78000 is given by the Government above 3 kW.
After subsidies, the survivors can be given to the applicant in the form of money or loan. The Government is also providing loans to the beneficiaries at least the rate of interest.
Under this scheme, the houses that the beneficiary will apply solar panels above their homes will be given electricity for free up to 300 units per month. And the beneficiary from this solar panel can also earn by selling electricity for 25 years.

Loan facility for planting solar panels

You can get a loan of up to Rs.10 lakh for solar panels. You can avail this loan in 5 years.
The interest rate of this loan can range from 9.65% to 10.65% which keeps the dip on your CIBIL score.
