Meeting of Agriculture Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shri Chauhan
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan has instructed that all the departments associated with agriculture have undertaken special campaigns for the next five years to double the income of farmers. Make all relevant department work plans. The Chief Minister Shri Chauhan directed today at the meeting of the Agriculture Cabinet. Member Ministers of Agriculture Cabinet at the meeting and officers of the concerned departments were present.
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan said that in order to double agricultural income, make a serious effort from the concerned department leaks and give maximum results. The income of farmers can be increased in a planned manner. There are wide possibilities in the field of milk production. Work in mission mode to enhance milk production. Try on war-level to increase production. It will be helpful to increase the income of farmers. Play a campaign to improve the quality of animals. Benefit farmers by increasing milk production. Try to increase the income of fishers through fish production. Try in a planned manner for silk production. Ensure that there is no lack of electricity for irrigation in the state.
It was reported that 10 lakh new members will be made in primary agriculture cooperatives in the state. All farmers in the state will be cooperative. All farmers are being provided with Kisan Credit Card. The Pilate project will be started in Raisen and Dhar district, to do locally through the processing cooperative committee of tomato and onion production. Irrigation capacity of the state has been planned to be 57 lakh hectares by 2022. Similarly, irrigation capacity will be 22 lakh hectares through micro irrigation. The Madhya Pradesh in milk production is ranked third after Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the country. Special efforts are being made for animal wealth development. The fishery production in irrigation reservoir of the state is higher than the national average. In the next five years, the fishery production has been set to increase from 1.15 lakh MT to 2 lakh MT. 20 large and hundred small fisheries will be made in urban areas of the state. Clusters are being attempted to increase silk production.
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan released the five books published by the Department of Agriculture in the meeting – a hundred-day decision, a story of the success of the internal crops, the story of the success of organic farming and the Atlas of the Tehsil level of the accessory-enabled elements.
