New Irrigation Project of Rs 1425 crore for Madhya Pradesh Approved by NABARD
CM Shri Chauhan interacts with women self-help groups, agricultural producer associations, progressive farmers on the establishment day of NABARD
मुख्यमंत्री श्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने कहा है कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी विजनरी लीडर और मैन ऑफ आइडिया है। उन्होंने कोविड की चुनौती को अवसर में बदला है तथा नए आत्मनिर्भर भारत का मंत्र एवं संकल्प लिया है। हम उसे पूरा करने के लिए आत्मनिर्भर मध्यप्रदेश बनाएंगे। इसके लिए खेती, किसान एवं गाँवों के अधिकाधिक विकास की आवश्यकता है। मध्यप्रदेश में सिंचाई क्षमताएं बढ़ाने के लिए विशेष कार्य हुए हैं। गत वर्षों में हमने प्रदेश में सिंचाई क्षमता को 7.5 लाख हैक्टेयर से 42 लाख हैक्टेयर तक पहुंचाया है, इसमें नाबार्ड का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है। आगामी समय में हम प्रदेश में किसानों की एक-एक इंच भूमि तक पानी पहुंचाने के प्रभावी प्रयास करेंगे।
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan said that it is extremely glad that the lift Irrigation of Rs 1425 crore has been approved by NABARD today for Madhya Pradesh. As well as 4 thousand crore loans for other projects have been sanctioned. For this I thank the entire team of NABARD.
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan was addressing women self-help groups of different districts of the state through video conferencing on the occasion of the 39th Foundation Day of NABARD in the ministry, representatives of the agricultural producers, progressive farmers. On this occasion, Minister of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Shri Kamal Patel, Sahakarita, Minister of Public Service Management Shri Arvind Singh Bhaduria, General Manager NABARD Dr. D.S. Chauhan, Chief Secretary Shri Ekbal Singh Bans, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Goville etc. were present.
Agricultural growth rate up to 24 percent
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan said that Madhya Pradesh has achieved growth rate by 24 per cent in agriculture development. One of its major causes is special efforts in the field of irrigation. NABARD has been a special cooperation in achieving this growth rate. NABARD has played a key role in development of agriculture, rural areas and agriculture infrastructure development.
Self Help Groups Create Locals Vocal
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan said that effective work is being done to empower self-help groups in the state. Government will now provide loans for economic activities at 4 per cent interest rate. The e-Shakti scheme of NABARD will be executed. Women’s self-help groups will play a key role in making locals vocal.

मुख्यमंत्री श्री चौहान वी.सी. के माध्यम से महिला स्व-सहायता समूहों, कृषक उत्पादक संघों के प्रतिनिधियों, प्रगतिशील किसानों से बातचीत की। रतलाम जिले की गंगा स्व-सहायता समूह की छपली बाई ने बताया कि उनका समूह ब्लॉक प्रिंटिंग, पंजाबी सूट बनाने, चूड़ी निर्माण आदि का कार्य करता है। इस पर मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि आपकी चादर की बहुत तारीफ होती है मुझे भी आपकी चादर देखनी है। इस पर छपली बाई ने प्रसन्न होकर मुख्यमंत्री को अपनी ब्लॉक प्रिंटिंग से बनाई चादर दिखाई। मुख्यमंत्री ने कार्य की सराहना की। उन्होंने संगम स्व-सहायता समूह देवास की श्रीमती नंदिनी वर्मा, दुर्गा स्व-सहायता समूह धार की धापू बाई तथा ओम जय जगदीश हो स्व-सहायता समूह की उमा रजक से भी बातचीत कर उनके स्व-सहायता समूहों की गतिविधियों की जानकारी ली।
Annual turnover of 71.69 lakhs
Mr. Prakash Meena from the Chief Minister Shri Chauhan, Riva Kisan Production Organization Sehore, told that his organization works to provide organic farming, seed production, vegetable production, milk collection, cattle and his annual turnover is Rs 71.69 lakh. Chief Minister Shri Chauhan appreciated the work.
Dewas models famous across the country
Dr. Sunil Chaturvedi, an agricultural expert at Dewas, told the Chief Minister that the roof water harvesting technology was developed in the district, thereby achieving significant achievement in availability of drinking water in the surrounding areas and ground water level growth. Chief Minister Shri Chauhan said that our "dewas model" is famous across the country.
Launched Grant Assistance Projects of 2381 Lakhs
Grant-in-aid projects of Rs 2381.69 lakh were launched by Chief Minister Shri Chauhan. 10.82 lakh families of the state will benefit. The e-power project of self-help groups (in all districts of the country) is 1587 lakh, the livelihood programme for migrant workers is 275.67 lakh, financial literacy and inclusion programme of 321.89 lakh, Agriculture Producer Association, Watershed Project Rs 196.89 lakh. Chief Minister of State Farmers Also released 5 model projects in agriculture sector and book of NABARD’s contribution in the state.
Launch of FMS Systems of HDFC Bank
CM Shri Chauhan also launched the Financial Management System (FMS) for self-help groups developed by the State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) of HDFC Bank.
Work of one lakh crore in the last 10 years
The Chief General Manager of NABARD, Smt. T.S. Raji Gain addressed through V.C., said NABARD is working in the field of Agriculture Employment, Agriculture Infrastructure Development, etc. in the state. About one lakh crore has been undertaken in the last 10 years.
Madhya Pradesh Continuously Forward In Agricultural Development Rate
Shri G.R. Anxilla, Chairman of NABARD joined VC from Mumbai. He reported that Madhya Pradesh’s agricultural growth rate has been significantly higher than 10 per cent over the past 15 years, while nearly 4 per cent of the country. Irrigation services have been unprecedented in Madhya Pradesh. For this, Madhya Pradesh is eligible for congratulations.
