More than 19 lakh hectares of horticulture crop Rakba

Built 2 lakh 75 thousand MT of onion storage capacity in two years under this strategy. Onion storage houses of 1 lakh 66 thousand MT capacity are under construction. 3 lakh 22 thousand MT of cold storage capacity has been developed in two years for storage of mortal products.
The Department of Horticultures has been making special efforts for marketing of products of farmers. Technology support is being given to groups of productive organizations and local farmers. There are also attempts to contact the country-foreign vendors. He has been invited to invest in the state by discussing food processing industries and purchasers of the country. The contracts of Rs 1200 to 1300 crore have been made for investment.
During the ‘Namami Devi Narmde’ service visit, 41 lakh 72 thousand fruitful plants were planted in the area of 11 thousand 104 hectares on the private land of 14 thousand 422 farmers in 24 districts of Narmada coast and basin areas by the department on 2 July 2017. The department has been targeting 75 lakh plant plantings for plant plantings that occur on 2nd July 2018 this year.
In order to bear the risk of climate change and to achieve continuous production of fresh vegetables and flowers throughout the year, the scheme of protected cultivation was granted for poly house/shednet house in 103 hectares in 2016-17 and plastic mulching in 3110 hectares. Poly House/Shednet House is being built in 73 hectares in 2017-18. As well as grant on plastic mulching in 3600 hectares. In 1183 hectares in the year 2018-19, the farmers are proposed to be given grants for construction of Poly House/Shednet House and plastic mulching in 8500 hectares.
Drip and sprinkler sets have been set up in this fiscal year for proper use of water and increasing the area and production by saving electricity and labour in irrigation. Drip/Sprinkler plant is proposed to be planted in 52 thousand hectares in the next financial year.
