Four times increase in allocation of Madhya Pradesh in 2021-22
The first consignment state of Rs 1,184.860 crore has been released by the Ministry of Water Power, Government of India to provide safe and potable drinking water to all rural families of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh has been allotted the assistance of Rs 5,116.790 crore for implementation of Water Life Mission in the year 2021-22. Union Minister of Water Shakti Shri Gajendra Singh Shekawa also joined the meeting with Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

During the review, the Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh assured that he will regularly review the planning and implementation of the Water Life Mission and instead of completing the work in the year 2024 declared by the Prime Minister, the Government of Madhya Pradesh will ensure tap-water connection and assure drinking water supply in each rural house by 2023. As a result, in 2020-21, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Madhya Pradesh performed exceptionally good and watered 19.89 lakh rural families with new tap-water connections.
मध्य प्रदेश में 1.23 करोड़ ग्रामीण परिवार हैं, जिनमें से अब 38.29 लाख (31.1%) घरों में नल से पानी की आपूर्ति हो चुकी है। राज्य मार्च, 2022 तक 22 लाख से अधिक नल-जल कनेक्शन प्रदान करके आधे रास्ते के कवरेज मार्क के पास पहुंचने की योजना बना रहा है। 7 जिलों में 3,731 पाइप्ड जलापूर्ति (पीडब्ल्यूएस) गांव पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने की भी योजना है, जहां औसतन 150 से कम घरेलू कनेक्शन हैं, इन गांवों को ‘हर घर जल’ योजना बना सकते हैं। वार्षिक कार्य योजना (2021-22) चर्चा के दौरान राज्य सरकार को अधिक गति से काम करने की सलाह दी गई है, ताकि लगभग 42 प्रतिशत गांवों में नल का जल उपलब्ध कराया जा सके, जो अभी भी पीडब्ल्यूएस के बिना हैं। यह कार्य तेजी से शुरू किया जा सकता है क्योंकि इन गैर-पीडब्ल्यूएस गांवों में उपलब्ध कराए जाने वाले नलों की औसत संख्या पीडब्ल्यूएस गांवों में उपलब्ध कराए जाने वाले शेष नलों की औसत संख्या से कम है।
The state has also been advised to increase coverage in priority areas such as most of the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, Water Quality Influential Villages, Drought Areas, Equity Districts, PVTG settlements etc.
मध्य प्रदेश ने सभी को ‘स्वच्छ पेयजल’ सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पानी की गुणवत्ता के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करना शुरू कर दिया है। वर्तमान में मध्य प्रदेश में 155 जल परीक्षण प्रयोगशालाएं हैं, जिनमें से 32 को एनएबीएल मान्यता प्राप्त हुई है। राज्य ने जीवाणु और रासायनिक संदूषणों को दूर करने के लिए पेयजल के परीक्षण पर जोर देना शुरू कर दिया है और 2021-22 में 51 जिला प्रयोगशालाओं में से 23 की एनएबीएल मान्यता लेने की योजना है। हर गांव में पांच लोगों को प्रशिक्षित किया जाता है, जिसमें फील्ड टेस्ट किट का उपयोग कर स्रोत पर पेयजल की गुणवत्ता के साथ-साथ वितरण बिंदुओं का परीक्षण किया जाता है। प्रदेश में पानी की गुणवत्ता, स्वच्छता, सुरक्षित पानी के विभिन्न पहलुओं आदि पर जागरूकता अभियान के साथ-साथ फील्ड टेस्टिंग किट की मदद से स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा गांव में पानी की गुणवत्ता की जांच भी शुरू कर दी गई है। यदि पेयजल की गुणवत्ता चिह्न तक नहीं है, तो वे सरपंच या स्थानीय जन स्वास्थ्य अभियांत्रिकी विभाग (पीएचईडी) के अधिकारियों को सुधारात्मक कार्रवाई करने के लिए सूचित करते हैं।
The National Water Life Mission has said to accelerate the implementation of the water supply functions during the recent discussion with the state PhED officers, so that drinking in all schools, courtyard centres and workshops, cooking meridian food, handwashing and smeasure of sufficient amount of tap connections to use in toilets can be burnt with safe pipes.
Along with the grant of allotment of Rs 10 thousand 700 crore, Rs 5,116.78 crore in the year 2021-22 and Rs 191.61 crore available to the State Government and total assured fund availability for the implementation of JJM in the State. This fund availability will enable the state to accelerate the implementation of various planned activities to provide tap water to rural households this year.
The Prime Minister announced the Red Fortress Water Life Mission on August 15, 2019. To provide tap-water connection to each rural family of the country is being implemented in partnership with States/Centres to suit the same. The total budget for Water Life Mission in 2021-22 is Rs 50 thousand crore. The 15th Finance Commission with its resources of the state and Rs 26 thousand 940 crore has given funding for water and sanitation to PRI. This year, more than Rs 1 lakh crore will be invested in rural drinking water supply sector, creating new opportunities for employment and promoting rural economy.
