New Delhi. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched two parts of the book series written on the personality of Dr. M.S. Swaminathan on the last days. The title of this series is The M.S. Swaminathan: The Cavenst Fore a Walder Without Hunger. Several Union Ministers and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
The Prime Minister said to him a ‘Kisan Scientist’, admiring the plea and commitment of Prof. Swaminathan. The only ‘Agricultural Scientist’ was the scientists of the farmers. The Prime Minister said that Prof. Swaminathan’s characteristics combine the grassroots capacities with real-that. Referring to the current challenges of the agriculture sector, the Prime Minister said that the success of the agriculture sector needs to be extended to East India.
The Prime Minister said that the best results can be achieved by blending modern scientific practices and traditional agricultural knowledge. The Prime Minister said that each district of India should have its own ‘Agricultural Identification’. He said it will help promote marketing and develop agro-cluster on the lines of industrial-clusters.
Dr. M.S. Swaminathan advertised thanks to the Prime Minister’s predators and appreciated his approach. He emphasized the importance of harmony between technology and public policy. Shri Radhamohan Singh was also present on this occasion.
