CM deposited 55,150 farmers’ accounts for Rs 57.10 crore
Shillong of construction works of 213.60 crore in Nasrullaganj Antyodaya Mela
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the rakba of irrigation in the state will be extended to 60 lakh hectares. Plans are being made. Shri Chauhan announced this while addressing the farmers in Antyodaya Mela during development visit in Naserulganj in Siher district. He said Narmada has been linked to Shipra to increase the rakba of irrigation. Water supply system is also being ensured to farmers’ farms. He said that the proceedings have been completed to provide irrigation facility in the area of 33 thousand hectares in the Nasrullaganj Tehsil in Siher district.

Chief Minister Shri Chauhan said that the State Government is committed to the welfare of farmers. The initiative has also been taken towards empowering women self-help groups in rural areas. Marketing of materials prepared by groups will be arranged. The Chief Minister announced that the provisional conference of self-help groups will soon be held in Sihore.
Chief Minister Shri Chauhan deposited an amount of 57 crore 10 lakhs of transfer payment scheme in accounts of 55 thousand 150 farmers of the district from one click system in Antyodaya Mela. Initially Chief Minister laid out 11 works of cost of 213 crore 60 lakhs of Rural Road Development Authority, Mandi Board, Panchayat and Rural Development, Public Construction and Water Resources Department. Shri Chauhan also distributed the Geo-Office Certificate to the beneficiaries.
Shri Rampal Singh, Chairman of Markfed, Shri Ramanakant Bhargava, Chairman of Forest Development Corporation Shri Guru Prasad Sharma, Chairman of M.P. Warehousing Corporation Shri Rajendra Singh Rajput, District Panchayat Chairman Smt. Urmila Muratha, MLA Shri Sudesh Rai and a large number of rural were present.
