‘Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Product Cost and Marketing Commission’ has been constituted on Thursday, June 22, 2017 to recommend better amenities of agricultural product cost and marketing in the state. The tenure of the Commission shall be of two years. Administerial Amla and Budget will be provided for the Commission by Department of Agriculture Welfare and Agriculture Development. Orders will be issued separately in respect of giving salary allowances and other features to the Chairperson and members of the Commission.
As per the order issued by the State Government, the experienced person in the field of agriculture will be nominated the Chairman of this Commission. Two farmers will be nominated by the member regime, which will be experienced in the field of agricultural work and agricultural marketing. As well as two agricultural economists will be employed in the Commission. As a government representative, the Padane Agriculture Production Commissioner and the Principal Secretary will be member in the Department of Agriculture and Agriculture Development Commission. The designator shall be the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Development Commission.
The Commission will recommend the State Government by calculating the cost of Kharif, Rabi and Summer crops. The State Government will also suggest the State Government for the market intervention rate of the selected ones when it is expected by the market intervention scheme. To suggest modernization of the agricultural marketing sector, as well as study for various crops from time to time as directed by the regime. Along with this, the Commission will also advise the governance on agricultural value and other production problems as required. Further, the Commission shall also undertake other functions assigned by the State Government.
Commission During the period of Kharif, Rabi and Summer crops, the state will present three reports per annum. The Commission will be issued separately by the State Government on the operation procedures and operation of the Operational Council. Orders will also be issued separately for appointment of Chairperson and Members in the Commission.
