The State Government has constituted two committees under the chairmanship of the Agricultural Production Commissioner to make quick decisions regarding dismantlement of various issues related to onion purchases and transport and sale of the onion.
The committee made for dismantlement of various issues related to onion purchases has been made a member of the Managing Director of Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development, Cooperation, Gardens and Food-Citizen Supplies and Head Secretary of Consumer Protection Department, Secretary Finance, Mandi Board, Civil Supplies Corp. and State Warehousing Corporation. Managing Director Markfed will be the Member Secretary of this Committee.
The committee comprised of issues related to transportation and sale of the subordinated onion, has made a Member of Chief Secretary Food-Citizen Supply and Consumer Protection, Secretary Finance, State Warehousing Corporation and Managing Director of Mandi Board. The Managing Director of Civil Supplies Corporation will be the Director of this Committee.
The Committee shall recommend for the decision of the Chief Secretary. The decisions taken by the committee will be implemented only on approval by the Chief Secretary.
