Shri Mohan Lal, Director Agriculture, told that the Department of Agriculture is being given grants on irrigation equipment such as drip, sprinkler irrigation, pipe and diesel and electric pumps. Subsequent grants pay in districts based on physical validation. Online DBT arrangement and grant payment of grants on agricultural irrigation equipment has been started about two months ago. As per the information, more than 13.400 of the more than 30 thousand certified applications have been verified in the portal’s review till January 4 and grants have been issued to farmers and suppliers in more than 6400 cases. Every beneficiary’s account number, base number and grant amount on the portal of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh is being uploaded on MIS.
Shri Rajiv Choudhury, Director of State Agricultural Engineering, told e-portal that the farmers are registering for large agriculture machinery, tractors and other instruments on the portal of Agriculture Engineering. This process has brought transparency and is free from the clutches of the farmer’s middlemen. The farmer does not need to go to any government office to take the instruments. Purchase bills including documents by purchasing instruments from the registered institution have to be uploaded to the portal grants directly to the farmer’s account.
In order to promote the purchase use of agricultural machinery through the Non-Resident Portal, agriculture is ensured to increase the production of agriculture as well as save human labour and also help to double the income of farmers by 2022, but for this, the arrangement from Block and District level to Division and Directorate level will be settled.
