New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman press conference on Thursday. The Finance Minister announced a relief package of Rs. 70 thousand crore to get out of the corona crisis. It also said that 80 crore poor people will be given 10 kg of rice or wheat and 1 kg of lentils free for 3 months. The government will not give any poor hungry gold. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21 day lockdown across the country on Tuesday to prevent coronavirus infection from spreading. This has resulted in public life and economic activities.
The poor affected by lockdown will be helped. Those who need help immediately will be relieved. The Pradhan Mantri Poor Kalyan Yojana will be brought.
Under Pradhan Mantri Poor Kalyan Anna Yojana, 80 crore poor will be given 10 kg of wheat or rice for 3 months in addition to ration. Also a kilo of lentils will be given.
The installment of Rs.2000 in the farmers’ account will be put in the first week of April, which will benefit 8.69 crore farmers.
The wages under Manrega were increased from 182 to Rs 202. 3 crore Senior Citizens, widows, disabilities will get the benefit of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

BPL families won’t have food, wealth and gas problems. Self-help groups, which have 7 crore families connected, got 10 lakh debts before the bank, will now get 20 lakhs.
Government’s Large Scale on Employee Provident Fund
The Government will contribute 3 months to the EPF of the employee and the employer. The entire 24% will be given on behalf of the Government. Companies with 100 employees will get the benefit of EPF.
Employees with less than 100 employees will get the benefit of EPF. More than 80 lakh employees, more than 4 lakh institutions will benefit.
3.5 crore registered workers associated with the construction sector who are facing economic issues due to lockdown will be helped. The funds of Rs 31000 crore have been placed for them.
PF Fund Regulation will be amended. The employee will be able to withdraw the deposit amount of 75% or any of the salary of three months.
The District Mineral Fund lives with state governments, is used for investigations, medications, treatments to succeed in fighting corona.
Even on March 24, Sitharaman had made several announcements
Earlier on Tuesday, Sitharaman conferred the press conference on the current situation with the Chiefs of the Ministry. He said there would be no charge on withdrawing money from any ATM for the next three months. The condition of holding minimum balance in bank accounts is also eliminated. The date of filing of income tax returns and linking the PAN-base has also been extended upto 30th June.
